RAND is seeking an Accountant to support financial transactions and reporting within the Finance & Accounting department. The role involves various responsibilities including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, preparation of management reports, quarterly/annual financial statements, rollforwards, and revenue recognition
- Additional responsibilities include compiling and preparing supporting documentation and schedules for audit requests, and researching, compiling, and analyzing data for projects/reports as needed
Skills
- Experience and understanding of accounting transactions required
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
- Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to organize workflow in an efficient manner
- Aptitude to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy
- Proficiency using MS Office suite required
- Strong Excel skills with experience with large data sets required
- Minimum BS/BA in Finance, Business or Accounting
- Minimum of 1 year experience related to Business or Accounting required
- Experience in non-profit accounting strongly a plus
- Experience with the Workday ERP, a plus
- CPA / or working towards CPA a plus
