We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to teach courses in music production, digital audio, live sound, surround sound, music synthesis, and audio for post-production. Job Summary: The University of Colorado Denver's College of Arts & Media, Department of Music & Entertainment Industry Studies, is looking for a full-time Clinical Teaching Track Assistant Professor of Recording Arts. This position offers a unique opportunity to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, engage in research, creative work, and service, while contributing to the growth of the Recording Arts emphasis and graduate program. Responsibilities: Teach a 3/3 course load (18 total credit hours per academic year) in recording arts, including music production, digital audio, live sound, surround sound, music synthesis, and audio for post-production. Prepare course content, syllabi, lectures, presentations, and student assignments. Evaluate student work, track attendance and engagement, and provide student advisement. Engage in professional and academic community through publications, recordings, performances, multimedia, and professional development. Contribute to the function and operations of the department, representing the university, department, and students. Requirements: Master's degree in Music Production, Recording Arts, Audio Engineering/Post-production or related field. At least three years of teaching experience at the college or professionally comparable level. Proven experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a diverse population. Ability to communicate effectively, balance multiple projects, and maintain attention to detail. Demonstrated dedication to creating an inclusive learning and working environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching Audio Post-Production courses. Record of scholarly and/or creative work. National and/or international professional/industry experience in the field of Recording Arts. Experience collaborating on cross-disciplinary initiatives.
