Associate Director, Transfer Pricing (Remote)

The Position This role manages and executes the global Transfer Pricing function and reports to the Director, Transfer Pricing and U.S. Tax Controversy. This individual will be responsible for analyzing global transfer pricing results, coordinating transfer pricing documentation, ensuring compliance with transfer pricing policies, and driving data automation projects. This individual must be a self-starter who works effectively in cross-functional teams to identify and resolve transfer pricing and data-related issues. Responsibilities • Prepare segmented profit and loss statements, expense allocations, and ad-hoc analytical models by leveraging technology and analytic tools. • Maintain and organize key transfer pricing documents, such as BEPS Action 13 documentation, intercompany agreements, cost allocations, etc. • Oversee outside professional service providers to facilitate the preparation of contemporaneous transfer pricing documentation to meet country-specific reporting requirements. • Monitor compliance with transfer pricing targets and advise on adjustments that may be required. • Prepare quarterly and annual ASC740-compliant data modules related to transfer pricing. • Review compliance with US and non-US transfer pricing rules that may impact the broader tax considerations of the company. • Support Tax and Finance teams in transfer pricing policy implementation related to systems and business processes. • Assist and interface with Tax Accounting on interim and annual tax provision and reporting matters. • Conduct functional, financial, and economic analyses for various intercompany transactions, including intercompany financing. • Assist with IP financial valuation models, as needed. • Work with internal tax team to help establish audit defense and support for US and non-US locations, as necessary. • Provide tax controversy support as it relates to transfer pricing matters including responses to tax authority inquiries. • Analyze financial supply chain issues and transfer price accuracy. • Monitor legislative changes in tax laws related to transfer pricing that may impact the company's transfer pricing positions and/or compliance requirements. Required Education, Experience and Skills • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, business or a related major. • An MBA, JD/LLM, Master’s degree, or PhD in relevant field of study is a plus. • Six plus years of combined public accounting and/or corporate transfer pricing or international tax experience, • Experience with data analytics, model automation, and data visualization (e.g., Business Objects, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, etc.). • Experience leveraging artificial intelligence and automation tools to drive efficiency. • Knowledge of transfer pricing, international tax, and accounting principles. • Familiarity with conducting functional analysis interviews, coordinating transfer pricing documentation, and supporting tax planning projects (e.g., IP transfers, principal models, etc.) • Experience supporting tax controversy/dispute resolution matters (e.g., audits, APAs, etc.). • Experience using ERP/EPM systems (e.g., SAP/S4 HANA, Hyperion, Oracle, etc.). • Familiarity with financial supply chain matters a plus. • Strong understanding of corporate income tax matters and industry issues. • Superior project management skills, including the ability to plan, monitor, and manage to deadlines. • Strong quantitative skills and written/verbal communications abilities.
