Audit Readiness - E&DL Data Specialist Employment Type: Full-time Work Location: Fully Remote Position Duties: • You will provide a full range of services that will utilize your educational background, data experience, and organizational skills while serving the firm's dynamic Public Sector client base. • Drive problem solving and fact finding through extensive data analysis, while working side by side with experienced team members, management, and client leadership. • Support through tasks in the areas of financial management, business process improvement, internal control management, financial systems of record, and audit response and remediation relating to Environmental and Disposal Liabilities (E&DL) audit readiness initiatives. Typical activities include: • Work with client personnel to update phase schedules and ancillary data to ensure that cleanup activities are appropriately represented within the E&DL financial system of record. • Support the input of cost data and uploading of finalized CTC Packages into the E&DL financial system of record. • Perform real-time reconciliations and conduct ongoing monitoring of data input into the E&DL financial system of record to identify and resolve data reversion issues that contribute to audit impediments. • Execute the Validation Review of Cost-to-Complete (CTC) E&DL estimates across the Army; including reviewing the auditability of estimating methodologies used to produce an audit ready CTC package within the E&DL financial system of record. • Assist with E&DL financial reporting data calls and year over year Material Change analysis. • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps. • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access • Possess and apply data expertise in a complex operating environment with disparate data sources. • Operate with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. • Own and maintain relationships and communicate with key client personnel to enhance your understanding of business operations, processes, and functions. • Effectively report status to engagement team leadership, while demonstrating ownership and accountability for assigned task areas and work products. Minimum Qualifications: • Must have an Active DoD SECRET Clearance • Professional services experience and/or experience supporting Public Sector clients. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business Management, or Environmental Sciences (or equivalent degree) • 3 years of experience with federal financial management, program management, or E&DL experience. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with E&DL subject matter, including audit readiness, business process and control improvement, cost estimation, and/or financial reporting support. • Specialized certification to include CPA, CGFM, CDFM, or other equivalent. • Working knowledge of SAP based platforms and/or Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps. • Knowledge of Army financial management policies, systems, and procedures. • Experience with DoD financial statement audit, internal control testing or analysis, and coordinating with external auditors.
