The Business Development Associate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with private developers and property owners, and representing the company at industry events.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the private sector, including real estate developers, property owners, and key decision-makers, while nurturing existing client relationships to secure repeat business
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, building brand awareness, generating leads, and strengthening relationships with potential and existing clients
- Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs in the private development sector, providing insights to inform business development efforts
- Collaborate with proposal team to respond to RFPs and submit competitive bids for private sector projects, dedicating a significant portion of your time to these efforts
- Leverage CRM tools to track and manage your pipeline of opportunities, ensuring follow-up on leads and documenting client interactions. Regularly update the leadership team on progress, challenges, and goals
- Develop and execute outreach strategies to foster long-term relationships with private sector clients and identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling the full suite of services
- Support the development of marketing materials (e.g., case studies, proposals, collateral) to assist in business development and strengthen the company’s position in the market
Skills
- 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relations, preferably in the professional services or construction industry
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Proven go-getter attitude with a strong drive to meet and exceed targets, proactively identifying opportunities and following through to success
- Hunger for growth, with a strong desire to take initiative, build relationships, and seize new business opportunities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Experience using CRM software to track leads, manage opportunities, and report on progress
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evening events, to build relationships and pursue new business opportunities
