As the Claims Representative I, Property, you will investigate, negotiate, and settle service claims while contributing to a client-centric culture through professional interactions and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Investigating, negotiating and settling service claims for the organization
- Communicating with clients, delivering clear messages and resolving concerns
- Liaising with stakeholders to ensure the efficient, timely, and quality settlement of claims
- Investigating and identifying opportunities for salvage and subrogation recoveries
- Sharing claims handling knowledge with business partners to support the organization
- Providing feedback to the leadership team on process efficiencies to enhance client experience
- Providing exceptional client service in accordance with claims service and quality standards
Skills
- You have one year of experience in insurance or two years of business experience in a related field
- You have completed post-secondary education in insurance, risk management or a related discipline
- You have or are working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation and Provincial Adjuster Licenses
- You have in-depth knowledge of client service principles
- You have basic knowledge of insurance and insurance claims, policy wordings, the vehicle repair process, provincial legislations and regulations
- English is required, French is an asset
