About the position
Interns (Cooperative Assistants) of all levels will work as part of a larger team to provide hands-on support and design/development for various engineering, engineering technology, IT, Security, Business aspects of our business. This could include work in energy delivery – electric engineering, gas engineering, energy operations, cyber security, information technology, learning and development, and more. Interns will help create a better tomorrow for the communities we serve! In addition to working alongside full-time employees carrying out the duties of each business function for the company, Cooperative Assistants will have the option to participate in a number of additional optional events within the program. This includes Cooperative Assistants networking events, company tours, and the consistently top-ranked philanthropic event, the Intern Challenge.
Responsibilities
• Data Collection: Gathering data from various sources, such as sales numbers, market research, and logistics.
• Data Cleaning: Ensuring the quality and accuracy of data by removing duplicates, errors, and outliers.
• Data Analysis: Using statistical and analytical techniques to detect patterns and trends in data.
• Reporting: Creating reports and visualizations to present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop tools for data collection and analysis.
• Other duties as assigned or may be necessary
Requirements
• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of data processing software and tools like Excel, Power BI and Power Apps.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
• Communication: Strong skills in presenting data findings clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring data accuracy and integrity throughout the analysis process.
• A current student: Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Pursuing a Master's in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum GPA requirement of 2.7 or higher
