**Job Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for:
* Greeting guests in a friendly and polite manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors
* Learning about the animals within our facility and our general operation to answer common guest questions, fostering a deeper appreciation for wildlife and conservation
* Managing the point-of-sale system in both the Ticket Booth and Gift Shop, ensuring accurate transactions and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
* Handling money and processing credit cards with accuracy and proper recordkeeping, adhering to arenaflex's financial policies and procedures
* Acting as a Zoo liaison during animal encounters and other on-site events, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth experience for all guests
* Basic inventory management, maintaining accurate records and reporting any discrepancies to management
* Ensuring guests are following all Zoo rules, promoting a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors
* Demonstrating problem-solving skills, thinking critically and creatively to resolve customer complaints and issues
* Possessing a high level of verbal communication skills, effectively communicating with guests, colleagues, and management
* Maintaining punctuality, adhering to scheduled shifts and deadlines
* Availability: We are open 7 days a week in the summer months, requiring weekend availability for all Customer Service Associates
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Prior customer service experience is preferred but not required; we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and industries
* High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training in a related field is an asset
* Availability to work scheduled shifts from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including weekends and holidays
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment
* Basic math skills, including handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
* Ability to work in a team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work culture
