As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring that borrowers receive the support they need to succeed.
**Key Responsibilities:**
As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
* Responding to incoming borrower calls, chats, and making outbound calls in a friendly and professional manner
* Counseling and informing borrowers of their repayment options, deferments, and forbearance eligibility
* Taking loan payments and updating borrower accounts in an efficient manner
* Locating needed information and minimizing the time borrowers are put on hold
* Maintaining the security and privacy of borrowers to protect both the borrower and our partners
* Working an 8-hour shift with a one 1-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks
* Utilizing strong computer skills to navigate our systems and tools
**Essential Qualifications:**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* A high school diploma or equivalent, with some college or bachelor's degree preferred
* The ability to pass a pre-employment cognitive and personality assessment
* A Federal 5C Security Clearance and credit check
* Residency in or near the Dallas-Fort Worth area
* Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills
* The ability to multitask (type while talking)
* Access to home internet with at least 10 mg capacity and a router for an ethernet cord
* A quiet and distraction-free location in your home
**Preferred Qualifications:**
While not required, the following qualifications will make you a strong candidate:
* Previous experience in customer service or a related field
* Familiarity with federal student loan programs and regulations
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
