As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be part of our Payments and Digital Strategy crew in the arenaflex Credit Union. Your primary responsibilities will focus on processing and managing various financial transactions, including check processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers. You'll work closely with our team to ensure seamless transactions, resolve customer inquiries, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
**What You'll Do**
As a Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include:
* Completing daily tasks related to account processing, such as check processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers
* Coordinating with vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve any issues or discrepancies
* Assisting other departments with fraud resolution, customer inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
* Working on assigned customer cases and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
* Following and maintaining guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and Federal Banking laws
* Processing mortgage bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other exams, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff exams
* Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
* Logging, reviewing, and making necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
* Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching
* Completing daily balancing and department closing
* Obtaining information from customers for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
* Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
* Communicating with vendors to process budget transfers
* Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer laws
* Depositing check returns, reviewing member re-exams on draft changes, processing member exams, affirming customers for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
* Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and court fees
**What You'll Need for Success**
To excel in this role, you'll need:
* A high school degree or equivalent (GED)
* Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Word
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
* Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-pressure situations
* Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance
* Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and attention to detail
* Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
* Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
* Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and customers
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, previous customer/member service experience, banking or Credit Union experience, and experience with Episys/Symitar and processing wires are highly desirable.

* Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through work experience or education and hands-on use of the software
