You will be the first point of contact for our customers, and your role will be to provide them with a positive and memorable experience. **Key Responsibilities** The following are the fundamental elements of the job. Management may change the job or require different tasks to be performed when functionally necessary, noting, of course, any legal commitments including any collective bargaining commitments. * Issue, reissue, and refund traveler tickets * Book, ticket, and confirm flight reservations * Rebook travelers on oversold flights and during irregular operations * Perform traveler check-in and boarding tasks (excluding curbside), correct oversold seat tasks, and issue upgrades * Issue vouchers as well as coordinate with project workers for traveler lodging facilities, meals, and transportation; coordinate refuel and refresh * Perform traveler loading, including ticket lift and ticket lift/check * Work entryway reader/scanner and related duties to include pre-boarding, observing/checking carryon items and departure line models * Work jetways/spans for the purpose of boarding and deplaning travelers * Make boarding and departure gate announcements * Carry domestic/international flight records * Perform traveler service flight close-out methods * Accept, check, and label travelers' baggage at destination points, full-service ticket counters, and premium ticket counters * Maintain schedule of flight boarding process * Perform customer service hands-on training * Process and complete credit card baggage exchanges at stands in the ticket counter area and activation stations * Assist travelers with self-service kiosk check-in and baggage handling at ticket counters * Man line lines at ticket counter stands and ticket counters * Clear/confirm international records at booth in the ticket counter area and activation stations * Accept and activate travelers' self-labeled bags at activation stations * Assist clients requiring special assistance or in-station; assist boarding, deplaning, and shipping non-ambulatory travelers, special assistance travelers, or unaccompanied minors * Perform customer service work related to handling regional flights and contractor/ground handling arrangements or agreements * Have standard and predictable attendance on location, including fulfilling any obligatory overtime requirements * Answer and assist during security and emergency situations * Provide interfacing traveler door information * Provide quality customer service in a professional manner and according to American's standards * Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance guidelines * Complete task-related stages of training * Comply with applicable laws (e.g. DOT, FAA, TSA) * Utilize various internal resources/frameworks including during customer interactions * Wear uniform as required by company policy **Sensible accommodations may be made for qualifying individuals with disabilities.** **Depending on your airport size, you may also perform the following:** * Perform Traveler Activity Control capabilities including air to ground communication along with Peak capabilities * Help international travelers through customs/migration, including baggage re-check * Carry tickets, international flight reports, and customs/migration forms **All you'll need for success** * Least Capabilities + Education and Previous Professional training + Bilingual language abilities required in certain areas + Relevant valid driver's license as required by local authorities + Should meet FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access awards to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable + Should be able to obtain proper airport power as well as US Customs security identifications, if material + Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check, or potentially fingerprinting to meet company and security requirements + Should be approved to work in the U.S. * Favored Capabilities + Training and Previous Professional training + Working knowledge of Sabre or any other Traveler Service System + Past face-to-face Customer service experience **What you'll get** Join arenaflex and take advantage of all that we have to offer: * Medical benefits: On the very first day, you'll have access to your health, dental, prescription, and vision benefits to help you stay well.
