**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to join our team at arenaflex. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of data center equipment, including servers, cabling, and network infrastructure. You will work closely with our team to ensure the smooth operation of our data centers and cloud infrastructure, and will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Install, configure, and maintain data center equipment, including servers, cabling, and network infrastructure
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, testing, and replacing equipment as needed
* Collaborate with our team to ensure the smooth operation of our data centers and cloud infrastructure
* Document all work performed, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
* Participate in on-call rotations and be available to respond to emergency situations as needed
* Maintain accurate records of inventory, including equipment, supplies, and spare parts
* Collaborate with our team to develop and implement new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
* Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices
**Requirements**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* 3+ years of experience in a data center or IT environment
* Strong knowledge of server, network, and cabling infrastructure
* Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
* Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a standing position for extended periods
* Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
**Preferred Qualifications**
* 2-year or 4-year degree or 3+ years of experience in a data center or IT environment
* 1 year+ experience in organized cabling, copper/fiber testing, and cooling and electrical systems in a data center environment
* Experience with Prophet Cloud Framework and trunk framework
* Knowledge of IT equipment ideas, including Attack, SAN, SCIS, Linux/Unix, GRUB
* Experience with stock management, including ordering, receiving, and delivering server parts
