Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team on a part-time basis, working remotely. As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for developing and implementing AI and machine learning solutions that enhance the efficiency, reliability, and performance of our operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy AI and machine learning models that predict, analyze, and optimize business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business problems and develop AI and machine learning solutions to address them
- Design, build, and deploy AI and machine learning models using techniques such as deep learning, statistical modeling, and data mining
- Work with large datasets to develop and train AI and machine learning models, and to identify trends and patterns that inform business decisions
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support AI and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI and machine learning solutions into existing systems and processes
- Communicate complex technical concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders, and to provide training and support to team members as needed
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in data science and AI, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. Specifically, you will need to have:
- A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, or engineering
- At least 2 years of experience working with AI and machine learning, with a focus on data-driven statistical modeling, discriminative techniques, feature extraction and analysis, and supervised learning
- At least 2 years of experience programming in a language such as Python, R, SQL, or similar
- At least 2 years of experience working with data extraction, wrangling, visualization, and analysis
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications, we are looking for candidates who have experience with:
- Handling data from multiple sources and through large data platforms such as GCP, AWS, or similar
- Building and deploying scalable AI and machine learning models and solutions
- Developing and implementing statistical models, AI algorithms, or other customized solutions that demonstrate significant impact in addressing complex business problems
- Optimizing existing data pipelines by investigating unstructured data sources and designing new features
- Providing technical support and expertise to the broader team
- A graduate degree or higher in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, or engineering, or equivalent working experience
