As a Database Analyst at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and updating our database with accurate and timely information related to UPS shipments and deliveries. **Key Responsibilities**
* Investigate normal database issues and perform calamity recovery tasks to ensure the integrity and availability of our database systems
* Perform routine database support tasks, including file maintenance, backup and recovery (full, differential, and log backups), and SQL job scheduling
* Develop and implement database performance tuning and optimization strategies to improve database efficiency and scalability
* Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve database-related issues and improve database performance
* Develop and maintain database documentation, including database schema, data dictionary, and query logs
* Participate in database design and development, including data modeling, entity-relationship modeling, and database normalization
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in database management and analysis
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
* 4+ years of experience in database administration, analysis, and design
* Strong knowledge of database management systems, including database design, development, and administration
* Experience with database performance tuning and optimization, including indexing, caching, and query optimization
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex database-related issues
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye for accuracy and precision
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with cloud-based database management systems, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure
