Job Overview
As a Customer Engineer in our Distributed Cloud team, you'll work closely with our sales and pre-sales teams to design, deliver, and support complex distributed cloud solutions for strategic global customers. You'll be the technical expert and trusted advisor, driving conversations on cutting-edge cloud offers and aligning with blithequark's services and delivery team innovation and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute on new cloud offers, developing business cases, securing executive buy-in, and driving customer adoption and scaling.
- Serve as a technical advisor and point of contact for strategic customers and accounts with non-standard requests and innovation needs.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior cross-functional key stakeholders in customer and/or partner organizations to deliver or manage quality technical solutions and services.
- Collaborate with internal and external developers, users, partners, clients, and stakeholders to strategize solution code development.
- Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required, acting as a public advocate for blithequark Cloud.
Minimum Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 10 years of experience with cloud-native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
- 8 years of experience in system design and proficiency in one programming language (Java, C++, Python, etc.).
- 3 years of experience using machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to build solutions.
- Experience with edge computing, distributed systems, or data center transformation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
- Fluent English and Portuguese language skills to interact with local stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.
- Knowledge of data and information management, including big data trends and issues within businesses.
- Experience managing distributed teams on large-scale programs globally.
- Ability to learn quickly, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
