As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data models that support our web and cloud applications. **What You'll Do:**
As a full stack data modeler at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
* Designing and implementing data models that support our web and cloud applications
* Creating logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and support application, batch, and interactive use cases
* Developing data modeling solutions optimized for relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases
* Maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models along with corresponding metadata
* Developing best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models
* Recommending opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments
* Performing reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts
* Evaluating data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies
* Validating business data objects for accuracy and completeness
* Analyzing data-related system integration challenges and proposing appropriate solutions
* Guiding System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers, and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces
* Reviewing modifications to existing software to improve efficiency and performance
* Examining new application design and recommending corrections if required
**What You'll Bring:**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* A good academic record and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
* At least 10+ years of hands-on data warehousing experience
* Strong knowledge of different data modeling techniques for data warehousing, including 3NF, Dimensional, and hybrid models
* Experience working on large-scale data warehouses (100 TB+) and operational data stores (ODS)
* Significant experience in building data models for MPP, Relational, and NoSQL technologies, such as BigData, Hive, SQL*Server, Hadoop, Cassandra, Cloud DBs like Big Query and/or Snowflake
* Good experience of working with globally distributed teams in a collaborative and productive manner
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across a variety of stakeholders, with the ability to negotiate with and influence others
