**Job Responsibilities**
As a Staff Data Scientist on our Data Ventures team, you'll be responsible for leading data science initiatives that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. Your key responsibilities will include:
* **Data Source Identification**: Identify and extract relevant data sources, define data requirements, and perform preliminary data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
* **Problem Formulation**: Analyze business problems, identify root causes, and recommend solutions that drive business impact. Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve complex problems and drive business growth.
* **Analytical Modeling**: Develop and deploy analytical models that drive business insights and recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science into business decision-making.
* **Model Deployment & Scaling**: Deploy machine learning models to production, monitor model performance, and identify areas for improvement.
* **Code Development & Testing**: Write code to develop and deploy data science solutions, test and validate models, and contribute to code documentation and knowledge sharing.
* **Applied Business Acumen**: Evaluate business cases, influence stakeholder decision-making, and drive the execution of data science projects.
* **Model Assessment & Validation**: Identify and evaluate model assessment metrics, apply testing and tuning strategies to evaluate model accuracy and robustness.
* **Data Visualization and Storytelling**: Develop data visualizations and stories that drive business insights and recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science into business decision-making.
**What You'll Bring**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 4+ years of experience in an analytics-related field, with a strong background in machine learning, statistics, and data science.
* Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in data science tools and technologies such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
* Ability to execute projects from start to finish, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
* Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
