**Job Responsibilities**
As a Full Stack Software Engineer on our Fleet Analytics team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex software systems that leverage our vast wealth of tool information to drive product innovation and improvement. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Working with stakeholders to design and develop software systems that raise the utilization of tool information at arenaflex
* Providing guidance to arenaflex's data engineering/data science network concerning best practices
* Collaborating with engineers to drive the adoption of software systems and tools
* Writing reproducible data analysis over petabytes of data using modern open-source technologies
* Summarizing and effectively communicating data analysis assumptions and results
* Building data pipelines to optimize the performance and accuracy of analysis work across the company
* Designing and implementing metrics, software systems, and tools that will enable engineers to self-serve their data insights
* Writing clean and tested code that can be maintained and extended by other software engineers
**What You'll Bring**
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring the following skills and experience:
* 7+ years of software development experience in an associated field
* Strong proficiency in Python, SQL
* Experience with data processing engines like Apache Spark
* Experience with data science tools such as Pandas, NumPy, R, Matlab, Octave
* Experience building data pipelines, web applications, and devices learning models in a professional environment
* A strong foundation in statistics
* Experience building data visualizations
* Experience writing software in a professional environment
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong problem-solving skills to help refine problem statements and determine how to solve them with the available data and from first principles
* Smart but humble, with a bias for action
**Nice to Have**
While not required, the following skills and experience would be a plus:
* Strong proficiency in Scala
* Understanding of distributed computing, i.e. how HDFS, Spark, and Presto work
* Experience with devops tools - e.g., Linux, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes
* Experience with complex hardware systems
* Experience with continuous integration and continuous development
