Job Overview
We are seeking an ambitious and skilled bookkeeper who is passionate about delivering outstanding support to our clients. As a full-time remote bookkeeper, you will utilize your expertise to assist small businesses with their bookkeeping needs, ensuring they can concentrate on their core operations. Your role will involve managing day-to-day client relationships, performing bookkeeping tasks, and working within established processes and budget parameters. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional bookkeeping services to clients via QuickBooks Online, demonstrating a thorough understanding of professional accounting and bookkeeping practices.
- Meet with clients via virtual meetings as needed to answer questions and support their business ventures.
- Close the books monthly and send monthly email reports of work to date to the client.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Process payroll per client needs and maintain accurate financial records.
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure accuracy and prepare financial statements for analysis and annual tax preparation.
- Collaborate with the administrative team and tax preparation team to ensure all clients are satisfied with our services through timely and effective communication.
- Identify areas where additional services or tools can be provided to improve client value and efficiency.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 5+ years of demonstrated ability to provide detailed bookkeeping and accounting support.
- QuickBooks Online Certification and 3+ years of experience using QuickBooks in a professional organization.
- Familiarity with Outlook and Office 365 Online Suite (Outlook Online, Microsoft ToDo, Microsoft Teams Meetings, and SharePoint/OneDrive).
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, with the ability to communicate powerfully and clearly.
- A passion for assisting clients and ensuring their success in running their small businesses.
- Confidence in learning and embracing new technologies and a willingness to consistently follow established policies and procedures.
- Efficiency with deadlines and a willingness to build strong remote team relationships based on trust, accountability, integrity, and shared learning and training.
- A dedicated office space with a reliable, high-speed internet connection and the capacity to work 40 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or an equivalent degree.
- QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification.
- Willingness to take and make phone calls as needed for urgent client contact.
- Experience working remotely and being self-motivated.
