Our arenaflex Outlet in Bridgeton, MO, offers a unique shopping experience with discounted prices on a wide range of products, making it the perfect destination for customers looking for great deals. **Key Responsibilities** As an experienced Part-Time Outlet Customer Service Associate, you'll be responsible for: * Providing SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of arenaflex Outlet's customer service standards * Seeking out customers to understand their needs and assisting in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise * Listening to and responding knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by taking them to areas of the store and walking them through projects when necessary * Demonstrating sincere appreciation to customers and communicating information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to arenaflex Outlet programs * Providing prompt support to all checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, or requests for assistance * Writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental * Cross-functionally training in other areas of the Outlet to help deliver the best customer service * Generating leads for Project Specialist Exterior (PSE) programs by actively engaging customers in their project needs * In-stock management, including using store systems to prioritize loads, print pricing labels, and to look up items or item numbers for price and inventory information * Down stocking merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies * Preparing merchandise in department of responsibility based on customer requirements/specifications * Clean and Safe Stores, including monitoring merchandise entering and leaving the store entrances and exits and assisting customers or associates who trigger the alarm * Detecting common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicating them to management and/or Asset Protection * Ensuring compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas * Maintaining a safe and secure work environment, which may include conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates * Adhering to all safety requirements relevant to one's regular job duties: top stock safety, reinstalling safety cables, use of aisle blockers, a tether line on power equipment, spotters, and safety devices * Operating store equipment as needed depending on one specific role and department (e.g., Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, iPhone, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV surveillance system, pallet jacks, electric lifts, compacter baler) * Providing exceptional customer service by applying SEEK – LEARN – BUILD to all customer interactions * Assisting Pro customers to find product by walking the customer to the correct aisle and bay * Assisting Pro customers with loading product in the aisle and then into their vehicles to provide a faster “in and out” shopping experience * Understanding Pro Loyalty, Pro Credit, MSH, Volume Savings and Pro Delivery programs. Using the SMART phone and sales terminal to enroll customers into these beneficial programs * Using the point-of-sale terminals to process walk up, phone, email, and online orders. Calling vendors to verify product availability and cost as needed * Completing freight and merchandising fulfillments, physically moving stock as it is delivered, scheduling shipments when necessary, and checking the quality and accuracy of orders * Processing returns to the Distribution Centers and appropriately disposing/returning items * Coordinating and supporting deliveries from beginning to end, serving as the expert for answering questions and solving problems related to deliveries * Inspecting merchandise prior to loading and delivery, preparing merchandise and loads for delivery, supporting planned delivery routes, verifying invoices against items loaded, and assisting with product connections or returns * Inspecting and cleaning interior areas (e.g., bathrooms, breakrooms, hallways) as well as exterior areas (e.g., parking lots) (as needed) * Keeping staff and customers safe by walking the store to check for leaks, spills, and unsafe displays, fixing equipment and facilities, and performing preventative maintenance **Essential Qualifications** * 1-2 years of customer service experience in a retail environment * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a home improvement or retail environment * Knowledge of arenaflex products and services * Experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software * Ability to speak multiple languages * Experience working with Pro customers and understanding Pro Loyalty, Pro Credit, MSH, Volume Savings and Pro Delivery programs **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent customer service skills * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills * Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and processes **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our associates grow and develop their careers.
