We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry/Intake Specialist to join our team at arenaflex. **Responsibilities**
As a Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry/Intake Specialist at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:
* Creating patient profiles and processing orders in a timely manner from electronic prescription and fax queues
* Requesting refill prescriptions as appropriate
* Managing incoming documents from the fax server
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
* Providing exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and payers
* Collaborating with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless order processing and patient care
**Qualifications and Responsibilities**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Good interpersonal skills
* Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible
* Good organizational skills and attention to detail
* Knowledge of medical terminology, including sig codes and Roman numerals, brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology
* Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information
* Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
* Basic math and analytical skills
* Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills
**Education and Experience**
* High School Diploma or GED
* Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
* Previous experience in pharmacy (1+ years required, 3+ years desired)
**Skills and Knowledge**
* Pharmacy or healthcare-related knowledge
* Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, including sig codes and Roman numerals, brand and generic names of medications
* Basic math and analytical skills
* Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills
* Specialty pharmacy experience (desired)
**License or Certification**
* Pharmacy Technician registration/certification
* Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) (desired)
