About the Role
As a Quality Assurance Engineer - Virtual Testing & Simulation on the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) Team at blithequark, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing virtual platforms to test and verify solutions through simulations and emulations with a high degree of fidelity. You will work closely with product teams, QA manual testing and requirements teams, and internal customers to ensure that our products meet the required specifications and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement simulations and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) testing to virtually validate end-to-end solutions, utilizing real-life software.
- Ensure that products meet the required specifications for quality, function, operation, reliability, maintenance, training, deployment, process and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integration, service, and support prior to delivery.
- Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products, communicating these to the product development teams, including hardware, software, controls, and materials development.
- Coordinate simulations and testing processes, analyzing issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with internal customers to review client, customer, and user feedback, ensuring that products meet their needs and expectations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of proven experience working with large cross-functional engineering teams, with expertise in modeling, simulation, testing, integration, and/or quality assurance.
- Proven experience in fulfillment systems, including storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation systems, and related automation equipment.
- Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel up to 70% to business locations and project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics and high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members, operations, and management.
- Project management skills to successfully initiate and complete projects.
