Key Responsibilities
As a Relief Route Delivery Driver, your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering products to customers on assigned routes in a timely and efficient manner
- Filling, merchandising, and rotating products on displays and in cold drink equipment, according to company standards
- Maintaining and organizing stock as needed, picking up damaged and out-of-date products, including empty shells and pallets
- Setting up and maintaining merchandise and sales promotion displays to attract customers and drive sales
- Ensuring the neat appearance of all company equipment and product in assigned accounts and maintaining a safe work environment
- Fostering relationships with account personnel and providing superior customer service to all customers and accounts serviced
- Ensuring proper accounting of product, cash, and assets daily and performing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles
- Performing other duties as assigned to support the team and drive business results
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- At least seven years of driving experience, with at least two years of CDL driving experience
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- A high degree of integrity, dependability, and initiative, with a professional demeanor and the ability to exercise sound judgment
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lifting up to 50 lbs. of product repetitively, and pushing and pulling manual and powered material handling equipment
- Availability to work some weekends and holidays, with a flexible schedule to meet business needs
- Previous route delivery, direct store delivery, stocking, merchandising products, or retail management experience is strongly preferred
- An excellent safety record and the ability to read, speak, write, and understand English to perform basic math skills
