Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain systems to deliver high-availability and reliability services
• Engineer the design and implementation of Render Farm, Storage, and job scheduling software
• Perform cross-functional troubleshooting of complex issues
• Demonstrate ownership of tasks delivered by your team and department
• Show a passion for mentoring, learning, and adapting to a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into clear technical implementations
• Define and maintain excellent working relationships with all colleagues, partners, and clients

Essential Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant work experience
• Programming experience with languages such as C/C++ and Python
• Expertise in design and management of tools and services dedicated to Linux desktop, storage, and rendering farm operations
• Strong analytical skills and a penchant for working with a technical team to develop requirements and strategies to support the Linux infrastructure
• Knowledge of Linux Kernel and/or System Level design and native C APIs
• Familiarity with QT C++ APIs
• Strong understanding of Network-attached storage and access protocols, such as NFS or SMB

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both relational and non-relational database technologies like MongoDB, ELK, and Postgres
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or others
• Experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Media and Entertainment workflows
• Basic understanding of network routing, switching, and network security principles
• Knowledge of Storage Area networking
