The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a Financial Institutions Examiner I to join their Department of Financial Institutions. This role involves conducting examinations of depository institutions to ensure safety and soundness, as well as compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Learning to conduct safety and soundness examinations of depository institutions
- Learning how to gather and analyze data to determine and support examination findings
- Learning to write examination reports that comply with the department’s guidance and requirements
- Traveling to and conducting examinations at our depository institutions within the Commonwealth of Kentucky and trainings outside the Commonwealth of Kentucky
- Working closely with other team members to ensure the completion of all necessary tasks related to the scope of the examination
Skills
- Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance or a related field, or a juris doctorate
- Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification
- Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification
- Highly self-motivated
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
