The WSIB operates in a hybrid work environment and this position should anticipate 60% of their time in the office. The Washington State Investment Board (WSIB) is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as Fiscal Analyst 4 (FA4) on the Financial Services Team. This is a unique opportunity to join a globally recognized investment management organization. The primary objective of the FA4 is to independently plan, process, and analyze fiscal data, payroll, and travel reimbursements. This position reports to the Financial Services Manager and supports the agency’s mission to invest with integrity, prudence, and skills to meet the financial objectives of those we serve by providing technical financial services to all agency staff and Board members. If selected for this opportunity, you will: Process and coordinate travel reimbursements, analyze, reconcile, and report fiscal data, and conduct employee payroll operations. This includes: • Leading and coordinating the processing of travel reimbursement requests in the travel accounting system. • Conducting training with staff on the use of the travel accounting system for reimbursement requests. • Reviewing the use of per diem rates against foreign currency exchange rates and confirming that exceptions are documented and accurate. • Ensuring all functions necessary to process payroll are performed accurately and within established deadlines in accordance with fiscal policies and procedures. • Processing journal vouchers for recovery of employer contributions to Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) for employees that have reached their max contributions. • Independently preparing, analyzing, and interpreting customized queries of financial data from enterprise reports to make necessary corrections to accounting data. • Reviewing and releasing batches in the accounting system that are prepared by other fiscal analysts. We're looking for an experienced accounting professional with payroll and human resources management system (HRMS) experience. A professional experienced with travel and expense reconciliation and reporting who enjoys attention to detail with proven accounting experience. A team player with excellent customer service and communication skills who is also a curious and analytical thinker.
