About The Role
We are seeking a talented Motion Graphic Designer and Video Editor to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually engaging motion graphics and animated videos that effectively communicate sports data, betting insights, and brand messaging. Your work will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual appeal and informational value of Onyx Odds’ content across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animation, storytelling, and social media content creation, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, captivating visual narratives. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely, collaborate with a creative team, and contribute to a rapidly expanding platform that is redefining sports betting content.
Qualifications
• 3–4+ years of professional experience in animation and motion design
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects is required
• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro for editing and post-production
• Ability to design and animate original content from scratch, not solely using templates
• Strong understanding of timing, pacing, and visual storytelling principles
• Experience creating social-first content optimized for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and X
• Solid sense of design, including typography, color theory, and layout
• Portfolio showcasing a range of animation and motion design work
Responsibilities
• Create animated videos and motion graphics tailored for social media, web, and promotional campaigns
• Design and animate betting data, odds movements, and sports insights to enhance storytelling
• Produce explainer videos, statistical breakdowns, and promotional animations that engage viewers
• Add dynamic text, transitions, and visual effects to improve viewer engagement and content clarity
• Collaborate with the content team to develop concepts, storyboards, and visual execution strategies
• Ensure consistency in Onyx Odds branding across all animated content
• Optimize animations for various social media platforms to maximize reach and engagement
