We’re looking for a sharp, execution-focused interior designer to support a small restaurant project in Springdale, Utah.
The overall design direction is already defined — we are not looking for concept creation. Instead, we need someone who can move quickly and translate vision into decisions and execution.
Speed is critical. We are on a tight timeline and need someone who can start immediately and operate with urgency.
This is a hands-on, hourly role focused on:
-Material and finish selection
-Light furniture sourcing
-Vendor coordination and procurement
-Working directly with our general manager to implement the design
-Think: practical, detail-oriented, fast-moving executor — not overly conceptual.
Scope of Work:
-Review existing design direction and mood boards
-Advise on materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings (FF&E)
-Make specific product recommendations (with links, pricing, and lead times)
-Quickly identify in-stock or fast-ship options when needed
-Assist with ordering and procurement
-Coordinate with vendors and suppliers
-Communicate clearly with our GM to keep execution moving
-Ensure selections are cohesive and aligned with the design vision
What We’re Looking For:
-Experience designing restaurants, cafés, hospitality, or small commercial spaces
-Strong eye for materials, textures, and practical durability (high-traffic environments)
-Proven ability to source and procure (not just design)
-Familiarity with vendors, furniture suppliers, and trade resources
-Ability to balance design quality with budget constraints
-Highly responsive and comfortable working in a fast-paced, execution-heavy environment
-Able to move quickly, make decisions, and avoid delays
-Available to start immediately
Location Preference:
-Strong preference for candidates local to Springdale, Utah (or nearby) who can visit the site
-Open to U.S.-based remote candidates who can source and execute efficiently
Nice to Have:
-Experience working directly with operators / GMs
-Knowledge of restaurant-specific needs (cleanability, wear-and-tear, code considerations)
-Existing vendor relationships
Engagement Details:
-Hourly engagement (flexible, likely 10–25 hours/week depending on phase)
-Project-based with potential for ongoing work
-Must be highly responsive and available during working hours
Please Include:
-Portfolio of relevant work (especially restaurants or hospitality spaces)
-Examples of projects where you handled both selection AND procurement
-A brief note on your approach to moving fast under tight deadlines
-Your hourly rate and earliest start date (must be immediate or near-immediate)
What Success Looks Like:
-Clear, actionable recommendations (not vague concepts)
-Fast decision-making and rapid iteration
-Smooth procurement with minimal delays
-A finished space that feels thoughtful, cohesive, and on-budget
If you’re the type who can take a vision and execute quickly without hand-holding, we’d love to work with you.
