Job Description SummaryThe Lead Buyer will be responsible for supporting End to End Sourcing / Procurement processes related to Field Services Sourcing Operations.The Lead Buyer will be responsible to negotiate and release field service purchase orders at the right time and right quality within the specified targets/budget. The Lead Buyer is responsible to settle claims with conditions favorable to Steam Power. The Lead Buyer is responsible to apply sourcing policy; interface between supplier and business with respect to order to remittance. Requires strong foundation and knowledge in procurement/ sourcing. The Lead Buyer will be the regional contact for Steam Power Customer Service Managers.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:Leads commercial responsibility for the purchasing activitiesRFQ, negotiate, place and follow-up on Purchase Orders (execution and fulfillment)Manage relationships with suppliers including commercial issues and schedule changesUpdate ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)Develop solutions under guidance and/or in a team settingBalance tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost/lead time reductionNegotiate Terms of PurchaseLeads the regional commercial supplier on-boarding (manage supplier master data) and collaborates with Supplier Quality for product/process qualificationWork together with all levels of the business including SPB (Senior Professional Band) and EB (Executive Band) level Support the commodity strategy, target panel and action plan developed by Commodity LeadersDevelop awareness/knowledge of field services Lead supplier performance reviewsWork cross functionally with operations teamQualifications/RequirementsBachelor's Degree from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 6 years professional Sourcing / Procurement experience, or similar fieldFluent in English, additional languages welcomeDesired Characteristics General knowledge of purchasing standards, policies, procedure, and Sourcing management principlesProactive in continuously seeking the most competitive and reliable offerStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsQuality mindsetAbility to influence others and lead small teamsAccountability, resilience, autonomyAbility to coordinate several projects simultaneouslyEffective problem identification and solution skillsProven analytical and organizational abilityBilingual (Spanish / English)Additional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: No#LI-Remote - This is a remote position
