Position: NPI Engineer

I. Job description:
1. Purpose of position
To ensure efficient product development by managing cross-functional teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring quality standards. This role drives the successful introduction of new products, from design to production, while reducing costs and improving efficiency.
2. Main Responsibility
- Product Development: Work with cross-functional teams to develop new printing products/processes that meet customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
- Project Management: Create project plans, set timelines, and manage resources to ensure timely completion of NPI projects.
- Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of printing technologies and stay updated on industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
- Prototype Creation and Testing: Coordinate prototype development and testing to evaluate performance, quality, and considerations.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction during the NPI phase.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with standards and customer specifications.
- Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers to source materials, equipment, and services for NPI projects.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed documentation, project reports, and maintain accurate records of milestones and outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in NPI processes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Ensure effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to align objectives and timelines throughout the NPI process
3. Scope/Measurement of Performance
- Site Conversion Rates: 20%
- KPI for Core Responsibilities: 70%
- Other Assignments from Manager: 10%
II. Candidate requirements:
Education & Training:
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering, Printing Technology, or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge in the implementation of new printing products or processes.
Experience & Competency:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Printing Technology, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of printing processes, equipment, and materials.
- Experience in project management and new product introduction.
- Proficiency in CAD/AI software and design tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
