A2SKI is seeking
seven (7) reliable and skilled equipment Operators to join our team. A long
reach excavator operator will be used to collect snow from steep slopes; skid
steer operators will be used to stockpile snow; both will load the Marooka dump
vehicles with snow. Marooka’s will continuously run from the tailings
collection site to the snow dump site with loads. This role requires the
ability to work in cold, harsh, and remote conditions.
Key
Responsibilities:

Operate
an excavator, skid steer or rock truck/wheel loader
·
Conduct
daily equipment inspections and report deficiencies
·
Excavators
and skid steers will be loading the trucks with snow
·
Operate
equipment over delicate ground conditions which includes a tailings pond
·
Work
closely with site supervisors, labors, and other equipment operators
·
Maintain
a clean and organized work area
·
Ensure
compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
·
Haul
and transport snow from across job sites
·
Adapt
to changing site conditions and project requirements
Qualifications:
·
Five
plus (5+) years of experience operating the included equipment
·
Experience
at a mine site or in construction is preferred
·
Excavator,
Skid Steer, and/or Rock Truck/Wheel Loader certification is required
·
Rock
Truck/Wheel Loader experience with specialized tracked units (marooka) is
preferred
·
SCOT
and WHMIS Certification
·
Valid
driver’s license and clean driver abstract
·
Ability
to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a
team environment
·
Good
communication and organizational skills
·
Knowledge
of safety protocols and procedures in a construction/warehouse setting is an
asset
·
Willingness
to undergo drug and alcohol testing
