Process Server / Licensed Private Investigator (Franklin County, OH

Gravitas Professional Services, LLC (d/b/a Gravitas Investigations) is seeking a professional, Columbus or Franklin County–based Process Server or Licensed Private Investigator to support high-volume service of process operations. This role requires reliability, structured documentation, and the ability to meet court standards. This is not occasional gig work — it is a consistent, compliance-driven service requiring professionalism and accountability. Primary Responsibilities • Execute service of process within Franklin County and, when required, throughout Ohio • Complete a minimum of three documented attempts per assignment • Perform evening and weekend attempts when necessary • Provide clear, accurate, and court-defensible affidavits of service • Maintain detailed field notes and attempt logs • Coordinate with internal case managers and agency staff • Be available to testify in court when required • Conduct lawful and ethical location efforts when a subject is evasive Required Qualifications: • Based in Columbus or Franklin County, Ohio • Prior experience serving legal documents • Strong written documentation skills • Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license • Ability to manage time independently and meet deadlines • Professional appearance and demeanor • Comfortable handling sensitive child support enforcement matters Preferred Qualifications • Ohio Licensed Private Investigator • Experience with government or court-contracted service work • Familiarity with skip tracing or OSINT-based location methods • Experience serving difficult-to-locate individuals What We Expect • Accountability and reliability • Accuracy over shortcuts • Respectful but firm communication • Consistent responsiveness • Willingness to testify in court if subpoenaed Compensation Compensation will be structured per service (routine, rush, and unsuccessful attempts) consistent with contract standards.
