We’re looking for a detail-oriented, creative, and driven individual to help lead and grow our newest initiative: The Bookworm Reading Program — a structured, engaging reading and writing course for middle school to early high school students.
About the Program:
The Bookworm Reading Program is an online tutoring initiative designed to help students master advanced reading comprehension and writing skills through our Comprehension & Composition Excellence Method:
• Reading – Exposure to classical literature
• Discuss – Guided literary analysis and group dialogue
• Debate – Critical engagement with themes and arguments
• Write – Structured, expressive writing and synthesis
Role Responsibilities:
As Program Manager & Curriculum Developer, you will:
• Manage and update the monthly curriculum schedule (literature selection, reading pacing, homework, etc.)
• Design lesson plans, reading guides, writing prompts, and assessments for each book
• Collaborate with instructors to ensure smooth class execution and content delivery
• Monitor student engagement and results; refine materials based on feedback
• Support the integration of materials into Google Workspace or LMS platforms
• Contribute to onboarding materials, program documentation, and educational resources
• Provide occasional support during live classes or events (optional)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in English, Education, Curriculum Design, or related field
• Experience teaching or developing curriculum for grades 5–10
• Deep familiarity with classical and contemporary literature
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and reliability
• Comfortable using Google Docs, Google Classroom, Zoom, etc.
• Bonus: Experience in online learning platforms or tutoring organizations
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
