About the position
J. J. Keller has an opening for a strategic, yet hands-on Quality Assurance Architect who thrives working with automation, AI, and modern DevOps. As a Quality Assurance Architect, you'll help lead the transformation toward AI - leveraging GitHub, AI agents, Copilot, and modern automating tools. You'll shape strategy, influence teams, and energize the organization with confidence, curiosity, and a willingness to experiment - even when the path isn't fully defined.
Responsibilities
• Define and drive the AI‑first automated testing strategy for new and existing mobile and web products.
• Lead the evolution of our automation frameworks, patterns, and standards—ensuring consistency across teams.
• Partner with developers, QA engineers, and architects to embed automation into every stage of the SDLC.
• Leverage GitHub, AI agents, and Copilot to accelerate automation, improve coverage, and reduce manual effort.
• Use Playwright to build and evolve automated test suites; must have hands-on experience (at least ~1 year or meaningful project work).
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor and coach QA team members on automation best practices and modern tooling.
• Perform workload analysis, assess test coverage, and identify automation opportunities.
• Maintain QA standards, processes, and tooling—including test management and defect tracking systems.
• Stay current with emerging automation technologies and bring forward new ideas to improve efficiency and quality.
• Develop and implement comprehensive Security testing strategies, ensuring alignment with OWASP standards.
Requirements
• 10+ years software of web/ mobile/API based quality assurance experience.
• 6+ years experience in test automation, including working with various automation frameworks, automation strategy, scripting, executing and reporting.
• 4+ years project management/leadership experience in a QA environment.
• Experience leading/mentoring test automation in a QA team, with strong experience in designing Playwright frameworks and utilizing Playwright frameworks and utilizing Playwright for API testing, authentication setup, etc.
• Experience identifying test automation opportunities.
• Experience with GitHub and pipelines.
• Strong experience using test management and automated testing tools.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, QA concepts, methodologies, and documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in technology or business-related field.
• In lieu of the bachelor's degree, an associate's degree in a related field combined with two years of additional related experience may be considered.
• Ability to analyze and assess Automation tools to provide recommendations for supporting business decisions.
