About the position HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room. The role involves understanding and applying aseptic techniques, maintaining a sterile field, assisting in surgical procedures, and prepping patients for surgery. The RN will assess patients prior to surgery, ensure they understand the procedure, and participate in a 'timeout' with the surgical team. Responsibilities Understand and apply aseptic technique to maintain a sterile field. , Assist in surgical procedures and prep patients for surgery. , Assess patients prior to surgery and ensure understanding of the procedure. , Conduct a 'timeout' with the surgical team before procedures. , Demonstrate teamwork and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team. , Deliver quality nursing care services and promote a positive image of nursing. Requirements Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required; BSN preferred. , 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room/OR/Surgical Services setting is required. , Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License required. , Current BLS and ACLS Certification are required. , CNOR certification is preferred.
