We are seeking board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrists to perform remote mental health disability evaluations via telehealth. In this role, you will conduct structured psychiatric assessments for individuals undergoing disability determinations. This is a non-treatment position focused solely on objective evaluations and medical opinions.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via secure telehealth platforms
• Review medical, psychological, and occupational records prior to assessments
• Assess conditions such as Post-traumatic stress disorder, Major depressive disorder, Generalized anxiety disorder, and related disorders
• Evaluate symptom severity, functional impairment, and impact on daily living and employment
• Complete standardized Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) or equivalent documentation
• Provide clear, concise, and defensible medical opinions supported by clinical findings
• Maintain strict adherence to documentation timelines and quality standards
• Utilize telehealth systems in compliance with privacy and security regulations
What This Role Is Not
• No ongoing patient care or therapeutic relationship
• No prescribing of medications
• No requirement for treatment planning or follow-up visits
Qualifications
• MD or DO with specialization in Psychiatry
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
• Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state
• Experience in psychiatric evaluations, disability assessments, or forensic psychiatry preferred
• Strong clinical interview and documentation skills
• Comfort using telehealth technology
Preferred Experience
• Familiarity with disability evaluation processes and medical-legal documentation
• Experience completing structured assessment tools or standardized reports
• Background in Forensic psychiatry or disability medicine
Work Environment & Schedule
• 100% remote, telehealth-based role
• Flexible scheduling options (contractor as a part-time or full-time 1099 locum tenens)

Compensation & Benefits
• $125–$130 per completed evaluation + $220 for completed training after seeing first patient
