This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: New York (USA) Position Title: Remote Commercial Title Examiner A nationally recognized title insurance and escrow company is seeking a Commercial Title Examiner to join their team. This role is vital in examining titles and searching real estate records, which are essential for ensuring accurate property transactions. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the commercial sector, with a focus on providing detailed reports and collaborating with various stakeholders. Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 / Year DOE Remote Commercial Title Examiner Responsibilities • Conduct commercial title searches and examinations, preparing title reports, and coordinating with stakeholders • Review and analyze survey maps, plats, and legal descriptions for accuracy • Examine title searches to prepare title commitments and produce cover letters highlighting title matters • Deliver title commitments to relevant parties, including realtors and lenders • Maintain a strong working relationship with underwriting counsel and assist with ad hoc title requests • Provide status updates in software to communicate workflow effectively • Identify and address discrepancies in title surveys Commercial Title Examiner Requirements • A bachelor’s degree is preferred • Experience working directly for a title company with 80% or more in the commercial sector • 3-5+ years of commercial title examination experience is required • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite • Ability to read and review commercial title surveys, providing detailed notes • Capability to analyze survey maps, plats, and legal descriptions to resolve discrepancies • Effective interaction with all levels of employees within the organization • Exemplary customer service skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration • Efficiency in handling deadline pressures and performing follow-up tasks • Diligent in updating status within the software for effective communication • Survey experience in NJ is required • Soft Pro experience is preferred • Experience from an underwriter or title company is preferred • Willingness to mentor and assist others is preferred • Commitment to understanding and utilizing technology tools is preferred Benefits • 401(k) with a 4% dollar-for-dollar match for the first 3% and 5% contribution to receive full vesting • 401(k) matching eligibility after 3 months with auto-enrollment • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Flexible schedule and spending account • Health insurance eligibility after 60 days of employment • Life insurance • Paid time off accrued every pay period, with flexibility up to 5 weeks • Parental leave • Referral program • Vision insurance If you are a Commercial Title Examiner looking to take the next step in your career, apply now!
