[Remote] Revenue Accountant I (Remote-PT, MT or CT Time Zone)

The Revenue Accountant I will contribute to the Revenue and Accounting team by reviewing complex contracts, managing the revenue month-end close process, and collaborating with various cross-functional teams to resolve billing issues. Responsibilities - Knowledge and experience in the application of ASC 606 - Ability to review complex contracts and understand billing requirements - Ability to multitask, prioritize and reprioritize to meet tight deadlines - Gatekeeper of own tasks and timely escalation - Ability to work independently and understand the importance of working with a team - Ability to collaborate with Sales/FP&A and various cross-functional teams to resolve billing and revenue issues - Participate in External and Internal audits - Perform ad-hoc projects as required - Review revenue and forecast variances and provide explanations for discrepancies - Own revenue month-end close process for assigned products - Comfortable with the preparation of journal entries and the reconciliation of revenue, unbilled and deferred revenue, and accounts receivable - Flexible open mindset with the ability to adapt to changing procedures and follow them Skills - Knowledge and experience in the application of ASC 606 - Ability to review complex contracts and understand billing requirements - Ability to multitask, prioritize and reprioritize to meet tight deadlines - Gatekeeper of own tasks and timely escalation - Ability to work independently and understand the importance of working with a team - Ability to collaborate with Sales/FP&A and various cross-functional teams to resolve billing and revenue issues - Participate in External and Internal audits - Perform ad-hoc projects as required - Review revenue and forecast variances and provide explanations for discrepancies - Own revenue month-end close process for assigned products - Comfortable with the preparation of journal entries and the reconciliation of revenue, unbilled and deferred revenue, and accounts receivable - Flexible open mindset with the ability to adapt to changing procedures and follow them - BA/BS in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in accounting or relevant field of study - Strong knowledge and experience in invoicing, billing, and/or accounts receivable functions - Strong proficiency in MS Excel, ability to analyze large sets of data (Pivots, VLOOKUP, Advanced formulas) - Ability to effectively interact with internal employees and clients holding a wide range of positions e.g. clerks to middle/upper management - Strong sense of ownership, excellent analytic, problem solving, and investigative skills - Experience working with Oracle or other large-scale enterprise resource planning systems - Intermediate experience within a corporate accounting environment, preferably in the software or manufacturing industry Benefits - Highly competitive compensation, benefits and rewards programs that encourage you to bring your best every day and be recognized for doing so. - An engaging, people-first work environment offering work/life balance, employee resource groups, and social events to promote interaction and camaraderie.
