Remote Collections Representative Opportunity
We are currently seeking experienced collections professionals to help service our large and growing portfolio. If you are an ambitious, results-oriented person with a natural gift for talking to people, we have an opportunity for you to come and join our team. This position will be 100% remote and expected to be available for shift requirements between the hours of 8:00am – 7:00pm CST Monday – Friday and 8:00am – 12:00pm CST on Saturday.
Responsibilities
As a Remote Collections Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Contacting customers to determine the reason for payment delinquency and negotiating payments.
- Handling accounts with speed and accuracy while maintaining professionalism.
- Confirming and/or negotiating payment arrangements, researching any discrepancies.
- Completing phone calls to meet required performance standards and metrics.
- Maintaining established objectives for delinquency, repossessions, and net losses; staying informed of changes in policies and procedures.
- Using computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and/or troubleshooting.
- Documenting all accounts accurately, clearly, and concisely noting the reason for delinquency.
- Responding with accurate information pertinent to the callers' questions using professionalism and integrity.
- Adhering to all state and federal laws in the handling of accounts.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Professional phone etiquette.
- Good follow-up skills.
- Persuasive negotiation skills.
- Microsoft Windows and Internet-based applications experience required.
- Basic typing/data entry skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work a five-day workweek, including some Saturdays.
Education & Experience
We require:
- High School or Equivalent Required.
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in business or related field may be used in lieu of experience.
- Prior experience in financial services or similar industry preferred.
