As a Senior Data Analyst at blithequark, you'll be the linchpin in our efforts to manage and analyze subscriber data across our streaming portfolio. Your work will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy of subscriber adjustments, facilitating smooth communication between our teams and subscribers, and driving strategic decisions that propel our business forward.
Key Responsibilities: Where Your Expertise Shines
- Data Management and Analysis: Oversee the intake and documentation of data requirements related to subscriber messaging initiatives and episode remediation, ensuring that the right clients receive discounts when necessary.
- Query Development: Craft queries based on required business logic, sometimes legally committing, to identify accurate cohorts of subscribers for messaging and/or remediation.
- Communication Bridge: Convey business requirements to technical teams and provide concise summaries of technical progress or detours to business stakeholders, acting as a vital link between teams.
- Technical Knowledge Development: Foster a deep understanding of subscriber adjustments and the technical infrastructure that underpins subscriber data, staying at the forefront of our operational knowledge.
- Project Management: Oversee project planning and timetables, managing cross-functional delivery to ensure readiness for significant business events and maintaining the integrity of our subscriber data.
- Strategic Alignment: Drive alignment across Data, Business Operations, and Finance through the development of robust communication processes and operational playbooks, ensuring we're always moving in the same direction.
- Innovation and Improvement: Collaborate with Data Product and Data Quality Engineering to contribute to the design of robust reporting solutions that minimize data incidents, pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
Essential Qualifications: The Foundation of Success
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- SQL Expertise: 2+ years of work experience writing in SQL, particularly in an ETL processing pipeline, to manage and analyze our complex data sets.
- Analytical Experience: 2+ years of analytical experience, demonstrating your ability to derive insights from data and drive business decisions.
- Communication Skills: Proven ability to convey technical and/or scientific concepts to a wide range of audiences, ensuring that everyone is on the same page.
- Programming Knowledge: Familiarity with Python/R or other statistical programming languages, enabling you to tackle complex data challenges.
- Data Analysis Tools: Knowledge of data analysis and data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, Chartio, etc., to bring data to life and inform our strategies.
