Role Overview:
We are seeking a senior Data Architect to lead SaaS data transformation and migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will design scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud data architectures, ensuring seamless migration and integration across cloud platforms. You will define data strategies, model best practices, and guide engineering teams to optimize data platforms for performance, reliability, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain enterprise data architecture aligned with business strategy and SaaS product roadmaps.
• Lead cloud data platform design, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, for high-volume SaaS environments.
• Define data transformation and migration strategies, including ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud-native data services.
• Establish and enforce data modeling standards, master data management, and governance policies.
• Collaborate with engineering, integration, and analytics teams to ensure data consistency, security, and compliance.
• Mentor mid-level data engineers, providing guidance on cloud best practices and data engineering workflows.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in data architecture or engineering; 3+ years in cloud-based SaaS platforms.
• Proven experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery).
• Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Strong SQL, Python, or Java skills; experience with APIs and streaming data.
• Knowledge of SaaS multi-tenancy, security, and compliance requirements.
Preferred Certifications:
• AWS Certified Big Data/Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, TOGAF (optional).
