Purpose of Role
The Sr. Lead Network Engineer will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise on the design, implementation, and operational support of the Under Armour global network infrastructure. This role will primarily focus on supporting the Under Armour Distribution house, corporate, retail, cloud, and datacenter environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Architecture and Technical Decisions: Lead the architecture and technical decisions of the global infrastructure environment for specified areas, focusing on reliability, scalability, performance, and security.
- Cloud Services Integration: Architect, design, and support key integrations of cloud services within Azure, AWS, and other cloud platforms.
- Strategic Project Delivery: Demonstrate the capability to lead and spearhead the delivery of strategic projects and operational tasks with precision and predictability.
- Technology Roadmaps: Leverage experience and latest technology developments in the creation and execution of strategic roadmaps aligned to overall business objectives.
- Business Case Proposals: Present, augment, or create business case proposals with recognition of future key initiatives.
- Leadership and Communication: Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Troubleshooting and Escalation: Demonstrate and model advanced troubleshooting for critical escalations and manage, identify, and execute escalation for resolution/communications within all support tiers.
- Vendors and Partners: Demonstrate expertise in managing relationships with large global vendors and partners.
- Strategic Lifecycle Management: Vision and ability to create overall strategic lifecycle management of global infrastructure.
- Disaster Recovery: Maintain and test disaster recovery for all critical business network infrastructure.
- Network Standards and Processes: Define, document, and communicate network standards and processes.
- Peer Review: Provide peer review on all changes and designs.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior IT teammates and partners.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience managing complex network environments using Cisco and cloud technologies.
- Network Tools and Automation: Experience with network tools and automation.
- Complex Network Environment: Experience managing complex network environments, including SD-WAN, cloud firewall, on-prem firewall, network access control, wireless environments, AWS/GCP cloud networking.
- Cisco CLI: Experience with Cisco CLI for LAN, firewall, and wireless.
- Cisco Wireless: Experience with Cisco Wireless.
- Cisco ISE: Experience with Cisco ISE.
- SilverPeak SD-WAN: Experience with SilverPeak SD-WAN.
- AWS/GCP Networking: Experience with AWS/GCP Networking.
- Zscaler NextGen Cloud Firewall: Experience with Zscaler NextGen cloud firewall.
- Python: Experience with Python.
- Ansible: Experience with Ansible.
- Automation: Experience with automation.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNP: Required, or equivalent knowledge/experience.
- CCIE: Preferred, or equivalent knowledge/experience.
- AWS Advanced Networking: Preferred, or equivalent knowledge/experience.
- Google Professional Certification: Preferred, or equivalent knowledge/experience.
Work Environment
- Location: Fully Remote.
- Return to Work Designation: Fully Remote.
- Travel: 10%.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Compensation: $143,606.00 - $197,458.80 USD.
