We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team and drive automation, scalability, and reliability across our systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with proven expertise in maintaining and supporting production platforms as well as other applications and configurator tools . You will collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployments, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure business-critical applications remain stable and performant. Learn how Cognizant helps clients lead with digital at www.cognizant.com or follow us @Cognizant.   About You You will collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployments, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure business-critical applications remain stable and performant.   Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, cloud hosted, Github actions etc.) (Required) - Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform (Required)eploy, manage, and scale containerized workloads using Docker Swarm and Kubernetes. (Required) - Experience with cloud hosted services - Manage and maintain existing applications and configurator tools ensuring performance, scalability, and availability. - Write and maintain Bash scripts and build automation with basic Python. - Implement and manage observability solutions with Datadog, Grafana, ELK stack, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics Workspace. - Proactively monitor applications and infrastructure to detect, diagnose, and resolve production issues. - Collaborate with development teams to embed DevOps best practices and improve system resilience. - Document workflows, processes, and incident response procedures for operational efficiency.   Required & nice to have Skills Must Haves - Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, cloud hosted, Github actions etc.) - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) - Strong background in containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes). - Networking, monitoring, and security best practices - Strong proficiency in Bash scripting and basic Python. - Proven ability to maintain and troubleshoot production applications. - Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools: Datadog, Grafana, ELK stack, Azure - Monitor, Log Analytics Workspace. - Strong problem-solving skills with experience in production troubleshooting. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate across teams and stakeholders.    Nice to Have/ Your chance to grow - Familiarity with AI-powered tools like GitHub Copilot for automation and prompt engineering. - Experience with DevSecOps practices and security automation. - Background in performance testing, load balancing, and capacity planning.   You will collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployments, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure business-critical applications remain stable and performant.
