Technical Business Analyst (BA)
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)

Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to work closely with business stakeholders, end users, and technical teams to identify operational needs and translate them into actionable technical requirements.
This role is critical in ensuring that solutions—ranging from custom applications and APIs to data systems—are aligned with business objectives and delivered efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and technical analysis within Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Requirements Elicitation & Analysis:
• Lead stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to gather and define functional and non-functional requirements.
• Documentation & Business Rules:
• Create detailed documentation including BRDs, FRDs, use cases, and user stories, ensuring clarity and completeness.
• Technical Translation:
• Convert business requirements into technical specifications, including API definitions, system workflows, and data mappings.
• Process Modeling:
• Analyze and document “as-is” and “to-be” processes using tools like Visio or Lucidchart to identify gaps and optimization opportunities.
• Backlog Management:
• Partner with Product Owners to prioritize and refine the product backlog, breaking down features into actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Systems & Data Analysis:
• Perform data analysis and mapping, including SQL queries and API payload evaluation, to understand system integrations and data flow.
• Solution Validation (UAT):
• Define test scenarios and acceptance criteria; support or lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure requirements are met.
• Stakeholder Communication:
• Act as the primary liaison between business and IT teams, ensuring alignment, clarity, and smooth project execution.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• Strong experience as a Technical Business Analyst in IT environments.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Hands-on experience with SQL for data querying and analysis.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or Waterfall environments.
Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including 2+ years in a technical/IT BA role.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile Analysis (AAC).
• Experience in pipeline or industrial domains.
• Familiarity with data systems, APIs, and system integrations.
Tools & Skills
• Documentation: BRDs, FRDs, use cases, functional specifications
• Tools: Jira, Confluence, Visio, Excel, Figma (or similar wireframing tools)
• Technical Skills: SQL, data mapping, API analysis
• Core Strengths: Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and strong communication skills
