Role Description
Sall Myers Medical Associates is seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join the team as a part-time Telemedicine Counselor. The professional in this role will be responsible for providing telehealth counseling services to patients, addressing mental and behavioral health needs, and assisting patients in navigating challenges related to their health and wellness. The individual will collaborate with the medical team for comprehensive care planning, which at the present includes Neurologists, Psychologists, and Occupational Therapist adminstering a cognitive rehabilitation program. This is a virtual position. Bilingual English/Spanish would be a plus.
Qualifications
• Experience in Social Work and Medical Social Work, with a focus on supporting individuals in healthcare settings
• Knowledge and experience in Case Management to coordinate care and provide efficient support to patients
• Proficiency in addressing Mental Health and Behavioral Health concerns, including counseling and therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Written Exposure Therapy, and Narrative Exposure Therapy. Familiarity with Physical and Somatic Techniques would also be useful and complement our existing Physical Therapy program.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with diverse patient populations

Position is Independent Contractor 1099 with hourly base + productivity.
