Registered Nurse - Telemetry Location: Birmingham, Alabama (near Alabaster) Job Type: Contract Schedule: • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each • Night shift: 18:45 - 07:15 • Every 3rd weekend and as needed • 36 hours guaranteed weekly Role Overview: This position is for a Registered Nurse with Telemetry experience. You will provide skilled nursing care to patients on a 21-bed Acute and Intermediate Acute Care medical telemetry unit. The unit uses Epic as the electronic medical record system and maintains a flexible patient ratio averaging 1:6. This role may require floating to other nearby facilities within a 25-mile radius. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry and acute care services • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care • Utilize skills in medical-surgical nursing and telemetry monitoring • Comply with hospital policies including dress code adherence (navy scrubs required) • Maintain necessary certifications and competence in assigned duties Qualifications and Experience: • Valid RN licensure with at least 2 years of clinical experience • Experience in telemetry and medical-surgical nursing preferred • Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, NCI, CPI • Ability to work night shifts and flexible scheduling demands • Professional and flexible attitude suited for acute care environment About the Location: This role is based in the Birmingham metropolitan area, close to the city’s vibrant cultural attractions, diverse cuisine, and outdoor recreational opportunities.
