Traveling Leasing Specialist - Multi-Family & Student Housing

The Traveling Leasing Specialist, under the direct supervision of the SVP - Marketing & Leasing, supports leasing efforts across our portfolio of multi-family and student housing communities. This role requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a passion for real estate, marketing, and customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys traveling frequently to help drive occupancy and build community engagement. Key Responsibilities: • Travel extensively (75%+) to properties, including short-term assignments (1-4 weeks) at each location. • Assist on-site teams in achieving leasing goals through tours, outreach, and community engagement. • Execute leasing strategies to increase occupancy and retention across diverse markets and property types. • Conduct market surveys and provide real-time feedback on competitive positioning and pricing. • Support new lease-ups, property transitions, and high-need communities with hands-on leasing and marketing support. • Collaborate with property management, marketing teams, and regional leadership to implement campaigns and events. • Train and mentor on-site leasing staff on best practices, sales techniques, and systems. • Maintain accurate records in CRM and leasing software platforms; ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations. Requirements Qualifications: • 1-3 years of leasing experience in multi-family or student housing (travel-based roles a plus). • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and sales skills. • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. • Comfortable with frequent regional travel, including overnight stays. • Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, Entrata, RealPage) and CRM tools. • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. • Flexibility to work weekends and adjust schedule based on community needs. Preferred: • Experience supporting lease-ups or property transitions. • Familiarity with build-to rent multi-family and university housing trends.
