ALTA IT Services has a 100% remote direct hire opportunity for a Cyber Security Validator Engineer to support a federal end-customer. Cyber Security Validator Engineer 100% Remote Permanent/Direct Hire Clearance – Active Public Trust Pay: 90k Plus Benefits As a Cyber Security Validator Engineer on our team, you will work with the client to review and validate the remediation activities of independent cybersecurity assessments. As a validator on this team, you will assess the mandated requirements that impact the client’s current cybersecurity capabilities and validate the remediation of findings in accordance with federal directive requirements at the enterprise level. You will coordinate with system owners and government partners to verify remediation’s and provide your recommendations to various stakeholders. This is your opportunity to use your experience in cybersecurity testing, auditing, engineering, implementation, and vulnerabilities, for the protection of systems, networks and information. You Have: • 2+ years of experience with engineering, implementing, and validating cyber security solutions in large environments with a solid understanding of different IT assets (physical/virtual) • 2+ years of Experience with NIST security controls and privacy controls, the Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) security documentation tool, the Risk Management Framework (RMF), and security compliance • Experience in Cybersecurity validations, assessments, and/or audits • Experience working with Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) Database • Experience working with the Linux CLI and analyzing Linux system logs • Knowledge of Cybersecurity operations, federal compliance standards, FISMA, and NIST 800 series • Ability to provide written and oral reports of findings for various stakeholders and teams • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required and 10 years of experience or a total of 18 years of relevant experience in lieu of education Nice to Have: • Experience with ServiceNow • Experience working with Federal clients • Knowledge of tools such as ForeScout, BigFix, Splunk, Elastic Search, SIEM tools, Nessus Scanning etc. • Ability to work flexibly in a very fast-paced and large enterprise environment System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, CM Access, TPGS, and MOUNTAIN, LTD., are leaders in delivering workforce solutions and integrated services across North America.
