Our growing Disaster Management Division makes BIG things happen every day. ICF is seeking a Case Manager Lead to help the State of Florida manage grants to carry out strategic and high-impact activities to mitigate disaster risks and reduce future losses in its communities. This position is 100% Remote in the United States. As Case Manager Lead, you will work closely with the Program Manager and senior ICF staff, subject matter experts; train and manage a team of case managers; and - as a point of escalation for case managers - clearly communicate information to residents regarding their options to help them make informed decisions.
Responsibilities
• Develop and master policies and procedures governing case management for our clients.
• Supervise and manage Case Managers, including but not limited to:
• - Assigning cases to the case management team,
• - Maintaining their schedules and timesheets, and
• - Assisting case managers in achieving monthly goals and with unique/difficult cases as an escalation point of contact.
• Maintain a complete understanding of all applicable Program policies, requirements, and procedures and review all cases within established program guidelines.
• Assist with drafting and issuing updated policies and procedures, job aids, and/or operations management manuals to aid in implementing the program(s)
• Train, supervise, and evaluate the operations of case managers.
• Coordinate closely with call center, inspection staff and client.
• Help refine program procedures and processes for implementation.
• Provide guidance and assessment of case management staff, as needed.
• Present technical information in key meetings.
• Interact with senior staff from local and state agencies, as needed.
• Support strategy for intake launch and operations.
• Advise senior leadership and management, as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience providing intake and case management services and knowledge of best practices for providing case management services for programs aimed at assisting individual households
• Experience with state and/or federally-funded grant programs.
• 3+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
Nice-to-haves
• 5+ years of in-depth and hands-on knowledge of grant programs, regulations, and implementation, including strong understanding of compliance.
• 5+ years of experience in grant funded or public assistance programs, such as housing programs
• Experience working in a consulting firm, development organization, or public agency preferred.
• Experience delivering training and technical assistance to state and local government agencies.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% depending on role and project needs in the United States.
