Enterprise Solutions and Management (ESM) is a rapidly growing government contractor that provides strategic IT services that meet mission needs for Defense and Federal customers. We are hiring a Database Administrator for an exciting remote opportunity.
Job Description and Responsibilities
Provides database administration support for enterprise systems supporting the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO). Responsible for administering and maintaining database environments including Oracle Database 19c (or higher) and Microsoft SQL Server (version 2014 or higher). Develops technical specifications and designs, develops, modifies, tests, and manages databases within DTMO's multi-tier architecture. Monitors database performance, implements optimization strategies, and performs database tuning to ensure reliability, efficiency, and availability of mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities
• Administering and maintaining database environments including Oracle Database 19c (or higher) and Microsoft SQL Server (version 2014 or higher)
• Developing technical specifications and designs
• Developing, modifying, testing, and managing databases within DTMO's multi-tier architecture
• Monitoring database performance
• Implementing optimization strategies
• Performing database tuning to ensure reliability, efficiency, and availability of mission-critical systems
Requirements
• Knowledge of enterprise database administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle management of relational database systems.
• Knowledge of database platforms including Oracle Database 19c (or higher) and Microsoft SQL Server (version 2014 or higher).
• Knowledge of database design, development, and management within multi-tier enterprise architectures.
• Knowledge of database performance monitoring, optimization techniques, and database tuning to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
• Knowledge of developing technical specifications, implementing database changes, and supporting mission-critical systems
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Five (5) years experience
• Specific Experience with:
Oracle and Sql Server administration
Development & Maintenance of technical specifications, design, development, modification, testing, and management of databases in multi-tier architecture.
Structured Query Language Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Database clustering, mirroring, and replication
• Interfaces with external data sources for data ingest
• SQL tuning, data purging/scrub/refresh
• Data security
• Incident Management
• Disaster recovery/COOP (including tests/exercises)
• Top Secret clearance
